We also provide training classes with Lindsey Evans, owner and operator of Away to Me Training. Lindsey uses positive reinforcement training and has taken many classes on training and animal behavior, something of which many other trainers have not done since it is not required by the state. Her years of experience and skill with handling dogs as well as an easy to get along with attitude makes her classes informative, but also fun for the both of you. Also, if you do not have the time for classes or have a specific issue to address, contact Lindsey to set up a personal consultation.

The courses last for two hours, on either Tuesday night or Saturday morning depending on which class you are signing up for, and lasts 7 weeks for a promotional price of $150. These classes are:
Puppy Pre-School - for puppies 3-7 months old
Introduce puppies to basic obedience and identify the best training method for your puppy’s personality. With a focus on socialization and play, puppies learn how to be thinking members of your family resulting in a healthy, life-long relationship with your dog.
Puppy School - for puppies 6-12 months old
Build on the fundamentals of Puppy Pre-school by challenging young dogs with problem-solving and more advanced obedience training. As puppies’ energy levels increase, owners learn appropriate play and exercise for their growing dog.
Basic Obedience - for dogs over 10 months old
If your dog has little to no prior training, we will identify the best training method for your dog’s personality as well as giving them “jobs” that they enjoy – teaching them to be a thinking problem-solver. This class covers basic commands, manners, and helps you build a relationship with your dog.
Intermediate Obedience - for dogs over 10 months old
For those dogs with some obedience training under their belts we build on the skills they have already acquired and adjust training methods to enhance your relationship with them. We will continue to engage your dog in thinking and problem solving to challenge their obedience skills and introduce them to tricks and games.
